iCallU.online Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

iCallU.online ("we," "us," or "the Service") provides privacy-first communications, including video calls, audio calls, and private chat. This Privacy Policy explains how iCallU.online accesses, processes, uses, and shares information when you use the Service.

2. Privacy-First Commitments

  • No ads and no third-party trackers
  • No behavioral analytics, profiling, or fingerprinting
  • No sale of personal data
  • Ephemeral, session-based communication where supported
  • We process only the minimum information required to operate the Service

3. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or analyze the following:

  • Call content (audio/video) or recordings
  • Message content as a stored history (beyond in-session delivery where supported)
  • Contact lists, address books, or phone numbers
  • Precise location data
  • Advertising identifiers or cross-app tracking identifiers
  • Third-party tracking cookies or tracking SDKs
  • Behavioral analytics, user profiling, or device fingerprinting
  • Call history logs (participants, duration, frequency) as an analytics dataset

4. Information We Process to Provide the Service

Real-time communication requires limited processing while you are connected. Depending on your use, iCallU.online may process:

4.1 Account & Authentication

  • Account credentials: your username and a password hash (passwords are never stored in plaintext)
  • Session tokens: short-lived, random identifiers used for authentication and session security

4.2 Network & Connectivity (Ephemeral)

  • IP address and related network information, processed for routing, connectivity, and abuse prevention
  • WebRTC signaling data required to establish calls
  • Connection capabilities needed to negotiate real-time media (for example, codec and transport support)

We do not use this information for advertising, tracking, or profiling. Where feasible, these items are processed ephemerally and discarded after the session ends.

4.3 Optional User-Provided Content

If you choose to send attachments (such as an image or audio clip), the content is processed only to deliver it to the intended participant(s). We do not use attachments for advertising or analytics.

5. Encryption

iCallU.online uses strong encryption in transit for real-time communications (for example, WebRTC media encryption). Where available, iCallU.online also offers optional end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for supported features. When E2EE is enabled:

  • Encryption keys are generated and exchanged between participants
  • iCallU.online servers cannot decrypt E2EE-protected communications
  • iCallU.online cannot access E2EE-protected call or message contents

6. Retention & Deletion

iCallU.online is designed to minimize retained data:

  • Calls exist only while participants are connected
  • Session-bound messages (where supported) are intended to be transient
  • Temporary technical artifacts are automatically deleted as part of normal operation
  • Invite links may be time-limited or single-use

6.1 Account Inactivity Deletion

Accounts inactive for more than 90 consecutive days may be automatically deleted. Deletion typically includes account credentials, associated settings, and subscription state (if any). This process is irreversible.

7. Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share personal data with third parties for advertising. We may share limited information with service providers strictly to operate the Service, such as:

  • Payment processors (if you purchase a subscription): to process payments (we do not store full card details)
  • Infrastructure providers (hosting, networking, reliability): to deliver the Service
  • Real-time connectivity services (for example, TURN/STUN): to establish calls reliably

Service providers may process information only to perform services on our behalf and are not authorized to use it for their own advertising purposes.

8. Device Permissions

iCallU.online may request device permissions solely to provide features you request:

  • Camera: for video calls
  • Microphone: for audio/video calls

iCallU.online does not request access to contacts or call logs, and does not access the camera or microphone in the background without your action.

9. Cookies & Local Storage

iCallU.online uses strictly necessary cookies and local storage for authentication, security protections (for example, CSRF), and essential preferences. iCallU.online does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking technologies.

10. Security Practices

  • Passwords are hashed and never stored in plaintext
  • Transport encryption is used for data in transit
  • Access controls and safeguards are applied to protect account-level data

10.1 Password Non-Recoverability

iCallU.online does not store passwords in recoverable form and does not collect personal data that could be used for identity-based recovery. As a result, passwords cannot be recovered by iCallU.online under any circumstances, including for paid or subscription-based accounts.

If a password is lost, account access may not be recoverable. This design choice protects users from internal access and external compromise.

11. Legal Requests

We do not store call content, recordings, or message histories as a service dataset. If we receive a valid legal request, our response is limited to the minimal account-level data that may exist at the time of the request and that we are legally required to provide.

12. Your Choices & Deletion

  • You can use iCallU.online without providing a phone number or contact list.
  • You may delete your account at any time (where the feature is provided). Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • You can revoke camera/microphone permissions in device settings (this may limit call functionality).

13. Children's Privacy

iCallU.online is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the "Last Updated" date above.

16. Plain-Language Summary

  • No ads or trackers.
  • Designed to be ephemeral by default.
  • No stored call recordings or message histories as a service dataset.
  • Only minimal, short-lived session/connectivity data is processed to make calls work.
  • You can delete your account; inactive accounts may be deleted after 90 days.
