Quick, plain-English answers about iCallU.online privacy, end-to-end encryption (E2EE), invite links, IP protection, subscriptions, and free-tier rules.
Looking for a private video call without phone numbers, tracking, or public rooms? This FAQ explains how iCallU works, including optional E2EE and invite links.
Quick summary
- No personal info: no phone, no email, no real name.
- 1-to-1 only: no public rooms, no hidden participants.
- Invite links: random + unguessable, expire in ~3 minutes, not reusable.
- E2EE (optional): when enabled, encrypted on your devices; servers can t decrypt call content.
- No tracking: no ads, no third-party analytics, no profiling, no call logs.
- Payments: Stripe handles checkout; iCallU.online gets subscription status only. Why pay for calls?
Do I have to create an account - and does it store any personal information?
Yes, you need an account to start a private call and invite a guest. But your iCallU.online account is not a personal profile and is not tied to your identity.
Your account includes your randomly picked by you account ID (do not make it in any way connected to your identity), securely hashed login credentials, and short-lived session data needed to create private calls.
iCallU.online does not collect or store: phone number, email, real name, contact list, location data, call logs/metadata, trackers, analytics, or ads.
Calls are not recorded or stored, and short-lived technical data is deleted automatically. With end-to-end encryption (E2EE) enabled, call content is encrypted on your devices.
When I generate a call invite link, can someone else join it, reuse it, or find out who we are?
No. Invite links are private, short-lived, and non-discoverable.
Each link is randomly generated and unguessable, valid for about 3 minutes, then expires and cannot be reused. Links are not indexed or publicly listed.
Calls are strictly 1-to-1. There are no public rooms. If the host disconnects, the call ends immediately.
Invite links contain no personal info (no names, emails, phone numbers). Audio, video, and chat can be protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE).
When I'm on a call, can someone intercept it or join without me knowing?
No. iCallU.online is designed so only the two people in the call can see/hear anything.
Calls are 1-to-1 only with no hidden participants. If someone tries to connect, you would see it.
Transport security (DTLS/SRTP) protects media in transit. With end-to-end encryption (E2EE) enabled, only the two devices hold the keys that can decrypt call content.
Calls are not recorded or stored by the platform.
Can someone track or trace me on iCallU.online using my IP address?
iCallU.online is designed to minimize IP exposure and does not do IP-based tracking.
Like any real-time internet call, an IP address may exist briefly at the network level to establish connectivity. Depending on network conditions, calls may connect directly or via relay (TURN).
When relayed, your media can be routed through a relay server, which can reduce direct peer-to-peer IP exposure. iCallU.online does not keep long-term IP logs for profiling, and does not run third-party analytics.
Are iCallU.online video calls peer-to-peer, and can they be hacked while traveling over the network?
Yes - calls are peer-to-peer whenever possible. When direct connectivity isn't possible (strict NAT/firewalls), traffic may be relayed.
In both direct and relayed cases, WebRTC uses strong transport encryption (DTLS/SRTP). With end-to-end encryption (E2EE) enabled, media is additionally encrypted on your device and only the two endpoints hold the decryption keys.
Even if traffic is intercepted, it is designed to be unreadable. iCallU.online does not record or store your calls.
Why is iCallU.online a paid app when so many calling apps are free?
Because iCallU.online is built on a different model: privacy is the product.
Many free apps are funded by collecting usage data, call metadata, analytics, and behavioral insights. In that model, callers are often monetized indirectly.
iCallU.online is funded by users instead: no ads, no trackers, no third-party analytics, no profiling, and no call metadata retention. Your subscription pays for privacy.
Who can benefit from iCallU.online? When should I use it vs. free calling apps?
iCallU.online isn't meant to replace every calling app. It's built for moments when privacy matters.
Use iCallU.online for private 1-to-1 calls where you want no identity exposure, short-lived non-reusable invite links, and end-to-end encryption (E2EE).
Free calling apps can be fine for casual conversations when convenience matters more than privacy.
Simple rule: use free apps when convenience matters; use iCallU.online when privacy matters.
Why can't I recover my account password if I forget it?
Because iCallU.online is designed so there is no way to trace an account back to a real person - even for paid users.
iCallU.online does not collect emails, phone numbers, names, or identity signals that would allow password recovery.
Passwords are securely hashed and cannot be read or recovered. There is no reset email/SMS, no admin backdoor, and no manual override.
If you lose your password, the account cannot be recovered and a new account must be created.
If I pay for a subscription, don't you get my credit card details and personal info?
No. iCallU.online never receives or stores your credit card details or billing address.
Payments are handled by Stripe (PCI-compliant). Your payment details are entered into Stripe and do not pass through iCallU.online servers.
Stripe sends iCallU.online only a minimal signal: subscription status (active/inactive) and a non-personal reference ID.
Where supported by Stripe, prepaid/gift-card style payments may further reduce personal info shared at checkout.
Can I keep using the free tier forever by deleting and recreating my account?
Yes and no. You can stay on the free tier, but repeatedly deleting/recreating accounts to reset free access is limited.
To prevent abuse without identity tracking, iCallU.online uses a secure local beacon stored only on your device. It is hashed, non-reversible, and never uploaded to iCallU.online servers.
After deleting a free account, the local beacon prevents a new free-tier registration for 30 days. After 30 days, free access becomes available again.
A paid subscription removes these limits without adding tracking or identity requirements.
